Xiaomi Philippines, in cooperation with the World Vision NGO, donated 10 RedmiBook 15 laptops, 400 LCD writing tablets, and 400 school supply kits to students in Baseco, Manila.
The school supply kits included essential items for returning to face-to-face classes such as backpacks, writing pads, pens, and crayons among others. These were received by senior high schools students of a school in Baseco along with their principal.
This is the second year of the brand’s continued advocacy to champion further development of education in the country through technology.
“It has always been the mission of Xiaomi to be a brand that supports young people’s aspirations by equipping them with the latest technology available,” explained Tomi Adrias, Xiaomi Philippines’ Head of Marketing.
The students eagerly showed off their brand-new Xiaomi devices and school supplies.
Meanwhile, Principal Manolo G. Peña expressed gratitude to Xiaomi and World Vision for continuing to support high school students at Barangay Baseco in Manila, whose return to traditional classes was made memorable by the special donation.
