The vivo V25 smartphone is usually displayed in stores and kiosks with imma, vivo’s virtual Ambassador. It’s a sleeve that slides out to reveal the gray box containing the device and its freebies.
It’s an unassuming box with an industrial aesthetic such as black and gray dual-tone color scheme, embossed letters, and a textured surface.
Unboxing it immediately reveals the vivo V25 smartphone wrapped in protective plastic.
Underneath the phone is a FREE phone case. It’s transparent which means the gorgeous Photochromic design is still visible while the device remains protected.
It has a protective flap for the USB Type-C port which is useful for many but annoying to some.
The box also contains a charger, USB Type-C cable, FREE earphones, adaptor, and a SIM ejector pin.
The vivo V25 charger has a maximum rated output of 44 Watts. The USB Type-C cable has normal length and the SIM ejector pin has a handle that looks like a heart when attached to its paper holder.
The FREE earphones has a normal 3.5mm audio plug but the vivo V25 only has a USB Type-C port, not a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s a USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio jack adaptor included in the box.
These are all the contents of the vivo V25 box: the vivo V25 smartphone itself, a free transparent phone case, quick start guide, 44W charger, SIM ejector pin, free earphones, adaptor, and USB Type-C cable.
I have the Sunrise Gold color variant of the vivo V25. It’s a pretty smartphone with a slim profile and tips the scale at 186 grams only.
Aside from the color, the triple rear camera array on its back stands out with its pronounced rings.
The sides of the vivo V25 has a silver color. Its power and volume buttons are on the right side.
At the bottom of the vivo V25 are its loudspeaker, USB Type-C port, microphone, and SIM card tray. You’ll also notice the subtle vivo logo on the lower left corner of the phone’s back panel.
The vivo V25 is a dual-SIM smartphone with dedicated slots for two nano-SIM cards. The second SIM card slot can also accommodate a microSD memory card.
You might have noticed the changing color of the vivo V25’s back panel. From a golden hue, it can change to solid orange when viewed in a bright environment.
This is called Photochromic Design by vivo and makes the phone even more interesting.
This is how the home screen of the vivo V25 looks like right after unboxing. There are several pre-installed apps like Lazada, Spotify, foodpanda, Netflix, and more.
These apps can be easily uninstalled but some of vivo’s apps like the V-appstore and Browser have too much notifications.
This is how the notification shade and quick settings look like.
The About Phone page reveals a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset with a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, 8GB of additional virtual RAM, Android 12 OS, and 256GB of internal storage.
Only 24.22GB of the total storage is used upon unboxing. That means around 232GB of free storage for games, pictures, videos, and other files.
I’ll be reviewing the vivo V25 is the coming weeks testing its performance, camera quality, battery life, and more.
For now, I’m happy to report that it’s a very pretty smartphone with promising performance and cameras. Subscribe to PINOY TECHNO GUIDE on YouTube to be notified once the full review has been published.
