The HONOR X9b 5G smartphone is now available for pre-order in the Philippines with FREEBIES worth ₱4,000.
It has a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with “Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop 360° Protection” that allows it to survive accidental drops. This was tested by HONOR and the country’s popular influencers by dropping and smashing the phone in demonstrations.
The HONOR X9b 5G employs new sealing and cushioning technology to protect its curved-edge display from drops. This technology received a 5-star certification from SGS in Switzerland for “whole-device drop resistance”.
We also tested this claim although not as extreme as HONOR’s 100-foot drop test. We dropped the HONOR X9b 5G from 4 feet to a hard tiled floor. There were no cracks nor bumps on the display that hit the floor face on! See video here.
Despite its durability, HONOR still advises NOT TO DROP the phone on purpose because there are sensitive internal electronic components.
Aside from its durable AMOLED display with 120Hz screen refresh rate, the HONOR X9b 5G also features a 100MP + 5MP + 3MP triple rear cameras with up to 3x “lossless” zoom, 16MP selfie camera, and “5-fold eye protection”.
It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with 12GB of RAM and the Magic UI 7.2 software. There’s plenty of storage at 256GB while connectivity includes 5G and security is handled by an under-display fingerprint scanner.
There’s a massive 5,800mAh battery that’s said to last up to 3 days and 35W of fast charging speed.
The HONOR X9b 5G has an official price of ₱16,999 in the Philippines. It comes in three color options – Sunrise Orange with Vegan Leather back, Midnight Black, and Emerald Green.
It will be available for pre-order from January 12 to 19, 2024 with FREEBIES worth ₱4,000 and includes the HONOR Choice Earbuds X5.
