A Showcase of Masterful Portraits by vivo V30 Pro 5G with ZEISS Optics and Aura Light 3.0

The vivo V30 Pro 5G is an impressive smartphone for capturing portraits! Pictures of people look sharp, bright, and pleasing whether from the 50MP triple rear cameras or 50MP selfie camera.

Let’s start with sample pictures from the rear cameras and the default camera “Photo” mode.

This isn’t a very challenging image but the vivo V30 Pro 5G shows excellent sharpness, realistic colors, and balanced dynamic range. Notice the blue sky gradient and tamed greenery in the background.

It automatically switches to 2x zoom or an equivalent of 50mm focal length for full frame cameras. This results in better framing and reduces lens distortion but you can always go back to 1x zoom.

The blurry background effect looks good even below the railings and the challenging hair strands.

 

 

 

Here are some more sample portraits using the dedicated Portrait mode. These were taken during sunset resulting in more interesting background colors.

 

 

 

These are portraits with the “Cine-flare” effect from ZEISS which adds lens flares. Other effects include Planar and Distagon which modifies the bokeh patterns.

 

 

 

 

 

The vivo V30 Pro 5G has four zoom levels with dedicated quick-select buttons – 0.6x, 1x, 2x, and 4x. All four produce good-looking pictures, even the 4x zoom as can be seen in the sample picture above.

It actually smartly switches between the main camera and dedicated 50MP telephoto camera depending on the lighting situation.

Ultra-wide shots preserve sharp details and capture decent color saturation. This should be useful in making group shots and trendy 0.5x snaps favored by Gen-Zs.

 

 

 

The vivo V30 Pro 5G shines in night time photography. It captured good-looking pictures with whatever lighting was available.

It also has built-in enhancements to reduce graininess of low-light shots.

 

 

 

The Aura Light 3.0 fill light of the vivo V30 Pro 5G further improves low-light portraits by providing gentle illumination.

It’s now larger and smarter than previous generations. It still has the effect of making subjects brighter without the harsh light of traditional LED flash.

Meanwhile, the 50MP front camera captures impressive selfies whether during the day time or at night. Skin tones look good, color saturation is on point, and details look sharp.

It uses the screen for lighting in low-light situations and it does a decent job.
