The vivo Y28 smartphone has several unique features including a large 6,000mAh battery and circular notification LED called Dynamic Light.
What makes this interesting though is the pretty affordable ₱7,999 price tag. I’ve been using the device for a couple of weeks and here are my top 5 features of the vivo Y28:
The vivo Y28 has a massive 6,000mAh battery which is 20% bigger than the usual 5,000mAh battery capacity of other smartphones.
It lasts up to two days on a single charge with my normal usage while playing games like Mobile Legends continuously at 50% screen brightness drains the battery in around 7 to 8 hours!
It also comes with a 44W vivo FlashCharge charger and cable which recharges the device from 0% to 100% battery capacity in 1 hour and 28 minutes only.
If the vivo V Series has Aura Light, the new vivo Y28 has Dynamic Light. It’s a circular LED notification light at the back of the smartphone located below the LED flash.
It lights up for calls, messages, and other notifications from any app based on the user’s preference. There’s even a customizable schedule so it won’t light up during the night.
Aside from being a notification light, the Dynamic Light feature can also sync with music or audio from different apps including Spotify, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
The screen of the vivo Y28 is a 6.68-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, 90Hz of refresh rate, and 1000nits of maximum brightness.
That means it’s good for watching your favorite shows on Netflix or simply browsing TikTok videos. It also remains legible even under bright sunlight when used outdoors.
The vivo Y28 has a dual rear camera setup composed of a 50 Megapixel main camera and 2 Megapixel depth camera.
It’s capable of taking good-looking pictures during the day and has a surprisingly good Night Mode for shooting low-light pictures. Here are some sample pictures:
Water resistance is usually reserved for high-end smartphones but the vivo Y28 features IP64 ingress protection rating.
This means it is built with enough protection against dust making its way inside the phone’s internal electronics. It can also withstand water splashes from all angles.
Many Filipinos will appreciate this feature especially those who work in the field or face harsh environments during commute.
There are two storage variants of the vivo Y28. The 8GB+128GB variant is priced at ₱7,999 while the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at ₱9,999.
Both versions are now available in vivo stores and kiosks nationwide. It is also available online via the official vivo online store, Shopee, and Lazada.
