realme 13 5G Gaming Tests with FPS and Temperature Measurements

The realme 13 5G boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 8GB of physical RAM, and realme’s GT Mode for a “lag-free gaming experience”.

I tested this claim by playing popular games on the device while measuring the resulting average framerate and temperature using Tako Stats. These include Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends, Call of Duty Mobile, and Genshin Impact.

The realme 13 5G achieved respectable average framerates during my gaming tests.

There were some frame drops during busy scenes but the gaming experience is generally smooth in HOK, ML and COD. I recorded 59 FPS of average framerate for both games but there’s no option for Ultra framerate in ML.

Meanwhile, Genshin Impact only reached 33.3 FPS which is decent for a smartphone in this price range but the graphics should be left at the default low settings for a more stable performance.

GT Mode and Temperature

The results are already good so what’s the purpose of GT mode? It made the performance more stable.

From 59.1 FPS in ML, the performance slightly increased to 59.7 FPS with lesser frame drops and a more consistent framerate throughout the game.

It also increased the device skin temperature reading slightly but still remained comfortable to handle. Realme says it’s equipped with a stainless steel vapor chamber for cooling and it seems to be quite effective.

Yes, the realme 13 5G can run popular games smoothly at high graphics quality with some frame drops during teamfights.

However, it doesn’t have the Ultra framerate option in the graphics settings for some games. More resource intensive games like Genshin Impact are also limited to low graphics settings to run smoothly.

Its GT Mode makes the performance more stable while the stainless steel vapor chamber is effective at maintaining comfortable device temperature for prolonged gaming sessions.
