After the appearance of Mi Home PH and the subsequent claim of Grimalkin Corp. that it’s fake, the issue has been settled – there is no official distributor of Xiaomi products in the country.
“Xiaomi currently does not have official distributors in the Philippines. All official announcements in the future will come directly from Xiaomi,” a Xiaomi spokesperson told Unbox PH.

A lot of Xiaomi products such as smartphones, accessories and smart home devices are now available on Lazada as well as in physical stores. If you really, really want to buy one of these, make sure that you are contented with whatever warranty is given to you.
Make sure too that it’s a genuine Xiaomi product. This is especially worrisome when it comes to accessories and powerbanks.
Xiaomi’s Future in PH
The Xiaomi spokesperson further said that any announcement about Xiaomi’s eventual return to the Philippines will come directly from the company, not from a reseller.
Hopefully, this will come sooner than later.
