After its Iron 1 smartphone that can smash walnuts without being damaged, Ding Ding Technology Philippines announced that the Iron 2 will also make its way here in the country.
Ding Ding Iron 2 still has the same tough build but with better features. It has a bigger screen, more RAM and sharper cameras with front flash, and higher battery capacity.
At the back is a 13MP Sony IMX230 camera with LED flash and on the front, above the screen, is another camera rated at 5MP with its own LED flash.
For connectivity, the Ding Ding Iron 2 has two SIM cards compatible with 3G networks and the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. USB OTG and HotKnot file transfer are supported too.

It also includes a heart rate sensor, knock to wake function and gesture controls. A 2,500mAh battery powers the device.
Local pricing hasn’t been revealed yet but it will surely be affordable – our guess is around ₱6,000. It will be sold at SKK Mobile stores soon.
Update: SKK clarified in a comment below that the Ding Ding Iron 2 version here in the Philippines might not have the 2.5D arc feature.
