When ASUS announced the Zenfone Max Plus (M1), I immediately associated it with the Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro.
This is most probably because they look similar with the dual rear camera arrangement and blue wallpaper although the former is a smaller device. Nevertheless, the price difference is just a little over ₱1000 so it’s interesting to compare the two.

The Similarities
Both the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus and Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro have an 18:9 display. The two run on 4GB of RAM with an Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In terms of photography, the phones are equipped with dual rear cameras allowing both to capture photos with blurred backgrounds.
They can connect to 4G LTE networks with two SIM card slots each with almost similar massive battery capacities. A fingerprint sensor and Face Recognition are both present on the two devices for security.
The Differences
The Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro is a bigger smartphone compared to the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus. However, its 6 inch display only has an HD+ resolution while the latter has a sharper 5.7 inch FHD+ screen.
On the other hand, Cloudfone’s entry is more powerful with its MediaTek Helio P25 processor. ASUS opted for the MediaTek MT6750T chip on the Zenfone Max Plus which is more commonly found on lower tier devices.
Of course, let’s not forget that the Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro has quad cameras while the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus only has dual cameras at the back and a single front camera.
Verdict: Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro vs ASUS Zenfone Max Plus (M1)
I’d say choose the Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro if you can stretch your budget by ₱1000. Its performance is smoother, cameras are better and you’ll be supporting a Philippine brand.
Cloudfone Next Infinity Quattro Review
However, the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus (M1) is also a solid smartphone in terms of its high battery capacity and that Full HD+ display. ASUS also has a better brand recognition compared to Cloudfone so that might affect your choice.
